The Work

Migration of a global multilingual WordPress website to HubSpot Content Hub, including redesign and implementation.

What I Did

Early in the project lifecycle, I conducted a technical assessment of the legacy WordPress site’s page types, URL structures, and reusable components. I assigned complexity ratings to support development effort estimation, inventoried component usage to forecast page recreation and content migration effort, and helped develop the redirect mapping strategy. Later, I served as the primary developer for an extensive custom HubSpot module library based on high-fidelity Figma designs, with a focus on intuitive editor options and a maintainable implementation.

The build included global modules such as the header, mega menu, utility navigation, language switcher, and site search, along with page-level modules for hero banners, featured content, card repeaters, and carousels. I engineered decoupled heading controls that allowed marketers to assign visual styles independently from semantic HTML tags, supporting technical on-page SEO, keyword placement, and accessibility without compromising design intent. To support the site’s multilingual architecture, I also developed custom 404 routing that worked around HubSpot’s one-404-page-per-site limitation and directed visitors to the appropriate localized experience.

Throughout the project, I prioritized accessibility and performance, including keyboard navigation, ARIA enhancements, and decisions tied to Core Web Vitals. The resulting module library enabled marketing teams to manage content consistently across the global multilingual site while maintaining accessibility, performance, and technical SEO standards.
